Great success for DWR at London Vet Show

The London Vet Show stepped up to a new level this year and, as Platinum Sponsors, we increased our profile with a series of Workshops and Seminars as well as a significant presence in the main exhibition hall.
Our stand was busy with visitors throughout the two days and it seemed that our professional colleagues welcomed the opportunity to speak to DWR's senior clinicians, all of whom were present on at least one day. It also gave us the chance to highlight our new services, including stem cell therapy, interventional radiology and enhanced hydrotherapy services utilising our new computerised water treadmill.
There was also great interest in the fact that we have recently launched the only comprehensive camelid referral service in the UK and our alpaca expert, Karin Mueller, was present on both days to discuss the range of services being offered.
On the first day of the Show, we ran a series of Workshops in the Olympia Room - most of which were completely sold out with long waiting lists. Apologies to those unable to attend but we will be running further Workshops next year. We also have a programme of CPD running throughout the year, covering similar topics /education
The workshop topics included: Fractures, plates and screws, forelimb lameness and stem cell therapy. Seminars were also given on locoregional anaesthesia and the coughing dog.
On the final day, Dick White participated in a series of interviews being filmed for the London Vet Show's on-line TV channel. Details of this will be added to our website when available.
Our view is that this has become a major event in the veterinary calendar and is gaining importance each year. We are already planning for our involvement in the 2012 Show.
