Our Orthopaedic Service is headed by Martin Owen, BVSc BSc PhD DSAS Dipl ECVS MRCVS who is one of the few small animal orthopaedic surgeons to hold both the RCVS and the ECVS Diploma in this speciality.

The service benefits from access to superb diagnostic imaging facilities and expertise, thus helping to ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment. We are also supported by an extraordinary level of expertise in analgesia and anaesthesia.

At Dick White Referrals, we have three fully equipped operating theatres and a comprehensive range of orthopaedic instrumentation enabling:

  • Arthroscopic investigation and surgical treatment
  • Treatment of cranial cruciate ligament problems
  • Hip, stifle and elbow replacement
  • Correction of limb deformities
  • Management of hip dysplasia
  • Treatment of traumatic injuries
  • Limb salvage for appendicular tumours
