Report to: Nurse Manager
As a Night Nurse you will have the opportunity to work in all our wards, including surgery, medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, feline, and ICU. You will also be involved with the care of emergencies admitted out of hours. Night nurses are allocated to a ward for the duration of their set of shifts which will allow you to get to know your patients and recognise changes in their condition.
You will work alongside a team of nurses, nursing assistants and interns with a Specialist from each department on call.
This is a full time position working four 12-hour shifts from 6.30pm to 6.30am with five nights off .
No two nights are the same! This makes working nights interesting and challenging with generous time off, giving a good work life balance.
You will have excellent all round nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our vibrant Neurology Nursing Team working in a busy, purpose-built clinic that is fully equipped with the facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary centre. The position will involve all aspects of nursing care of inpatients.
You will have excellent all-round nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
This is a ward based position that focuses on hands-on, exemplary nursing care based on the individual needs of each patient. The neurology nurse is highly involved with all aspects of nursing care of patients with varied neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, inflammatory CNS conditions, seizures and spinal surgeries. Due to the types of illness, many of our patients will be hospitalised for relatively long periods of time so this role does give the opportunity to get to know them as individuals and to see them develop in their recovery. Although fast paced and busy, this is a very rewarding role.
For the period of maternity cover, this is a full time position, 40 hours per week between 6.30am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, and a 1:5 weekend rota with compensated time off and paid overtime.
