This year’s Open Day on 9th July will include even more activities and we will be dividing them into zones so that everyone can find the areas of most interest to them.
The main rings will accommodate the dog show, displays and demonstrations and, alongside these, will be the dog scurry and the K9 Aqua Sports pool.
As well as shopping opportunities, there will be breed and rescue organisations, book and bric-a-brac stalls, a tombola, a Kids Zone with games and competitions, a display of classic vehicles, a pamper area and a wide array of refreshments.
Throughout the afternoon, from 12.00 midday to 5.00 pm, ‘behind the scenes’ tours will be conducted within the hospital and visitors will have the chance to learn more about the work at DWR.
As always, attendance at the Open Day is free of charge. However, we will welcome donations to our Charitable Foundation which supports care of street dogs and cats in Havana, Cuba.
