About

Catherine qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008. Her clinical background includes both small animal general and referral nursing. She taught Diploma and degree student veterinary nurses at the College of West Anglia, before moving to the University of Cambridge Department of Veterinary Medicine where she helped to develop the clinical skills facility, teaching and assessment.

Catherine’s particular clinical interests include care plans, theatre practice and professional and ethical issues. She is passionate about the education of veterinary nurses as professional practitioners and seeks to inspire nurses to be lifelong learners. In 2018, Catherine was awarded a Pilkington Teaching Prize in recognition of excellence in teaching.
