Maria graduated in 2015 in Veterinary Medicine from University of Extremadura (Spain). Since then, she has been working in small animal practices including an internship in a first opinion centre in Madrid. After 3 years in a first opinion practice in the UK, Maria took part in another rotating internship in a referral hospital in Scotland. It was then she developed her passion for emergencies and critical care, focusing her career on developing this aspect. Her main areas of interest include transfusion medicine, sepsis and ventilation. Outside of work she enjoys swimming, reading, travelling and spending time with her friends.
