An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our vibrant Night Nursing Team working in our busy, purpose-built hospital that is fully equipped with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary hospital. The position will involve all aspects of nursing care of inpatients across a wide range of disciplines including critical care.
You will have excellent all-round nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo.
As a Night nurse you will have the opportunity to work in all our wards , this will include surgery, medicine, neurology , ophthalmology, cats & ICU . Nurses are allocated to a ward for the duration of their set of shift’s which allows you to get to know your patients & recognise changes in their condition. You will work along side a team of nurse’s, nursing assistants & two interns overnight, with specialist from each department on call. You will deal with a range of care for our inpatient’s & will also help deal with emergencies that are admitted after hours. No night is the same! which makes working nights interesting & challenging, with generous time off giving you a good work life balance.
We are able to consider full or part time applications for this role working between the hours of 6.30 pm and 6.30 am on a rota basis. Full time would be 12 hour shifts, 4 nights on (working) and 5 nights off , part time would be negotiated within this. Referral nursing experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
