As part of our ongoing drive for excellence, in the summer of 2020 we are due to open a 32,000 sq ft. (3000 sq m) extension that will double the size of our existing facilities and create a truly world class hospital.
Our orthopaedic surgery caseload is rising and we now seek an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team. As well as a proactive, friendly working environment and class-leading clinical standards, this position offers excellent career prospects, with the position of Head of Service open to interested and appropriately experienced candidates.
Aside from the excellent, positive and collaborative working environment that places great value on teamwork, DWR offers a competitive remuneration package including a generous salary, pension provision, private health insurance, income protection and life assurance schemes and family focused leave provision alongside annual study leave and CPD allowances.
As we are also an Educational Partner of the University of Nottingham, the successful candidate will be awarded Honorary Associate Professor status with this institution. Clinical research activity and participation is, therefore, positively encouraged and colleagues currently collaborate with scientific, medical and veterinary institutions across the UK and further afield in many ongoing studies.
Successful applicants will be Board-Certified in Small Animal Surgery or Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery by the American, European, Australian or Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and be eligible for RCVS Specialist status. Applications from experienced residency-trained candidates, eligible to sit the qualifying Specialist examinations for these colleges, will also be welcomed.
