Job Summary:

Develop your career with DWR and be part of something special!  Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a vibrant Theatre Nursing Team working in our busy, purpose-built clinic that is fully equipped with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary centre. The position will involve all aspects of theatre nursing including pre-op preparation of patients, circulating nurse, assisting with the teaching of student nurses and anaesthesia if you wish.

Successful Candidate:

You will have excellent all-round nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

In this position you can expect to come into work everyday to something completely different, from total hip replacements to cataract surgery we cover all disciplines, which ensures a varied caseload. We very much like to help people expand their knowledge in areas that interest them. As a Theatre Nurse there will also be opportunity for you to develop your anaesthetic skills with help from our specialist anaesthesia department.

This is a full time position, working a 40-hour week in 8 hour shifts between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday with one night a week on call and a 1:6 weekend rota.
