Our Orthopaedic team provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment options, performing surgeries ranging from arthroscopy and TPLOs through to more advanced procedures including complex fracture repair and angular limb corrections.
Being part of a large multi-disciplinary hospital allows the orthopaedic team to take a truly multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues in different disciplines to optimise outcomes.
The on-site MRI, CT, digital radiology, ultrasound facilities and team of Diagnostic Imaging Specialists help to facilitate timely and accurate diagnosis.
To support a smooth referral process and for transparency and predictability of costs for your clients, we offer a number of fixed price procedures. Here is a sample of them.
These packages include consultation (with urgent ECC assessment and triage if required), initial hospitalisation, pre-operative blood tests*, imaging with radiographs (there is an additional fee if CT is required) under sedation, anaesthesia, surgery and implants and discharge with up to 2 weeks of medications**.
Post operative rechecks and additional procedures will incur additional fees. The prices stated are a guide and a definitive estimate will be given following assessment of the patient at DWR.
Although major postoperative complications are unusual, any costs incurred relating to unexpected postoperative complications are not included in our fixed price packages.
*Requirement for pre-operative blood tests are at our discretion and based on clinical judgement and are included in these packages, if there is a co-existent disease, additional tests/medications may be required and will be subject to additional cost.
Medication covered in the fracture packages is pain relief (paracetamol & NSAID) and a short
course of antibiotics if indicated.
