Our ortho and neuro specialists will share simple in-consult exam techniques, red flags for referral, and practical strategies for managing lameness cases before and after referral.

DWR

Simon will open this section by introducing the theme of lethargy and giving an overview of the specialist services offered by DWR. Jess will then discuss a vague lethargy case with the session, focusing on contextualised care for complicated cases.

The vague, “not quite right” patient is one of the biggest frustrations in practice. This session will guide you through a logical approach to lethargy, from history and examination to diagnostic testing and common medical causes. Gain confidence in distinguishing the benign from the serious, and in knowing when advanced referral investigation is warranted.
