About

Tom graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2014, where his passion for anaesthesia and perioperative medicine began. Over the following years in a busy general practice in Suffolk, Tom completed postgraduate certificates in anaesthesia and ECC, followed by a master’s degree at the University of Liverpool. Since graduating, Tom has also been involved in small group teaching at the University of Cambridge and is currently a Bye-Fellow and Director of Studies in veterinary medicine at Downing College.

In 2024 Tom joined DWR Veterinary Specialists as an anaesthesia resident. Tom’s clinical interests are in minimising the adverse effects of anaesthesia and ultrasound-guided interventions such as nerve blocks and vascular access.
