Our first full day face-to-face CPD event in our new seminar room was an action packed day starting with a multi-disciplinary team approach around collapse. With interactive case-based presentations from different perspectives with our joint Head of Emergency and Critical Care Emily Thomas; Elena Scarpante our Head of Neurology and Laurent Locquet one of our Cardiology specialists.
This was followed by a tour of our impressive new hospital building and a buffet lunch in the sun.
The engaging afternoon session featured orthopaedics cases with one of our Orthopaedic Specialists Matt Eayrs demonstrating new 3D printing techniques. This was followed by two of our physiotherapy and hydrotherapy team Sarah Powdrill-Wells and Daisy Huxtable demonstrating the substantial benefits of prehab as well as rehab.
Feedback from the day was very positive with the day meeting or exceeding the delegates expectations, the presenters were rated highly and the length of the talks just right. The venue and food were complimented and the tour enjoyed very much. It was great to hear the positivity for attending another DWR event and recommending them to colleagues.
Some of the feedback includes:
“The new facilities are certainly impressive.”
“Staff was amazing and very friendly. Everyone seemed keen to have a chat and discuss cases. I thoroughly enjoyed the day!”
“ECC speaker was so down to earth and spoke to us like colleagues not down to us as at some other CPD have been to. Thank you. Will absolutely call for help and refer more to yourselves after this CPD.”
