About
Joy graduated from the University of Nottingham vet school in 2011. Following some time in general practice she undertook a rotating internship at DWR Veterinary Specialists in 2015. Continuing to gain certificates in Emergency and Critical Care and Small Animal Surgery, Joy embarked on a surgical internship and ECVS surgical Residency at DWR Veterinary Specialists in 2018. Joy completed her ECVS Residency in Small Animal Surgery in July 2022 and since has been working at DWR as a residency trained surgeon in Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic. Joy divides her time at work between both the soft tissue and orthopaedic departments. Joy is also one of the directors of the rotating Internship programme at DWR and is passionate about supporting colleagues in progressing their careers. Outside of work Joy enjoys walking her two dogs, riding her horses, spending time with her cats, baking cakes and renovating her house in Cambridge!
