The Dick White Academy offer an exciting high quality learning environment in which to undertake The Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing Apprenticeship. Combining the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary to be become a registered veterinary nurse.
Just before Christmas, two groups of Level 3 students (pictured) who started in 2019 celebrated finishing the end of the practical period of their Veterinary Nursing Apprenticeship!
They have attended the Academy one day a week to be part of lectures while working in veterinary practice learning practical skills and recording them in an E-portfolio.
These students who have just completed have had no delay to their studies during the pandemic. They have worked tirelessly both in their clinics providing first line care to their patients and also as students, switching effortlessly between classroom based learning and on-line learning.
Ali Heywood DWA Principal said, “I couldn’t be prouder of this group of students, when I look at their dedication to the vet nursing profession, I know that they are the embodiment of the commitment to make ‘a better world for pets.’”
The students are just steadying themselves to undertake their final assessments early this year and we will be excited to welcome them onto the Veterinary Nursing Register once they have fully qualified. We wish them all the best of luck!
