Emma joined DWR Veterinary Specialists in 2007 having previously worked in general practice for 11 years, qualifying in 2000. She worked as the head theatre nurse at DWR for 5 years, during this time she gained the HE Diploma in Clinical Veterinary Nursing in conjunction with the RCVS advanced diploma. Her interest in anaesthesia throughout this period grew, and in 2012 she became an anaesthesia technician, working closely within the anaesthesia team at DWR. She has become a member of the Association of Veterinary Anesthetists, and an associate member of the Academy of Veterinary Technician Anaesthetists, passing the veterinary technician specialist exam in America. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, and her dog Rocky, as well as spinning if she gets the time.
