Karen joined DWR in May 2015 after a career break having four children. She qualified in the summer of 1998 and went on to work in a mixed animal practice. She then moved to a small animal practice, then an out of hours centre. It is at the out of hours centre where she discovered her main nursing interest to be nursing critical care patients. With four children she is kept busy when not working as the family all enjoy animals, music and days out.
