Overview:

As an experienced HR systems and payroll administrator you will be a key member of the DWR People Team. You will take overall responsibility for the effective management of all HR and payroll systems, ensuring accurate recording of absence, changes to work patterns, hours and any other data impacting pay, terms or conditions.  Ensure that monthly pay runs (base, overtime and any other payments) are accurate and managed in line with policy. You will be expected to have a passion for delivering the best possible service.  You will have excellent communication skills, ensuring collaborative and effective working relationships between teams, leadership, and other group associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an experienced HR systems and payroll administrator you will be a key member of the DWR People Team. You will take overall responsibility for the effective management of all HR and payroll systems, ensuring accurate recording of absence, changes to work patterns, hours and any other data impacting pay, terms or conditions.  Ensure that monthly pay runs (base, overtime and any other payments) are accurate and managed in line with policy. You will be expected to have a passion for delivering the best possible service.  You will have excellent communication skills, ensuring collaborative and effective working relationships between teams, leadership, and other group associates.
  • Take overall responsibility for the management of all HR, absence and payroll systems, ensuring all required data is captured in good time, accurately and in-line with company and legal requirements.
  • Management of the end-to-end internal payroll process, through to submission to the central payroll team (excluding processing of payments and calculating tax deductions).
  • Ensure effective oversight of TOIL, CPD and annual leave allowance management across the centre.
  • Produce letters and documentation relating to pay, terms and conditions.
  • Work with line managers to ensure effective management of overtime approvals and recording for payroll.
  • Facilitate effective offboarding process including recording of exit interviews and reviewing training agreements/repayments.
  • Facilitate effective onboarding by tracking new starter reviews and probation periods.
  • Provide regular accurate data and insight through KPIs and analytical reviews of data.
  • Support with internal controls audits and responding to group requirements for information as they arise.

  • You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You will be able to take the initiative and be comfortable in working to develop and improve existing processes.
  • A knowledge of HR, payroll systems, 365 and Microsoft teams as well as a strong understanding on how to use Excel
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data
  • Work effectively to role model change and the DWR behaviours of Excellence, Trust and Care.
  • Strong personal integrity, professionalism and confidentiality is essential to the role
  • Excellent time management and ability to work to deadlines
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You will be able to take the initiative and be comfortable in working with a degree of ambiguity.
  • A knowledge of HR, payroll systems, 365 and Microsoft teams as well as a strong understanding on how to use Excel.
