Job Title: Clinician in Small Animal Oncology

Our Oncology department is excited to offer the opportunity of a full-time Clinician to join our specialist veterinary hospital. The Oncology team consists of 2 other board-certified specialists, one Clinical Fellow, 3 Oncology Residents and 3 Oncology Nurses. DWR is a busy and expanding state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral-only practice based near Cambridge / Newmarket, UK. DWR has an excellent and varied caseload supported by Rotating Interns, Residents, certified Veterinary Nurses, Fellows and Veterinary Specialists including the following specialties: anatomical and clinical pathology, anaesthesia, cardiology, emergency and critical care, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery.

DWR is an educational partner with the University of Nottingham, and the Dick White Nursing Academy is onsite. In addition to providing a first-class clinical referral service, the successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in our ECVIM-approved residency training programme and also teach final year students on rotation from the University of Nottingham.  We also support and offer good opportunities for active research with collaborative colleagues working with us in existing research programmes in the UK and around the world.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must be ECVIM or ACVIM board-certified. Experienced candidates eligible to sit the qualifying examinations for these colleges will also be considered.
